Why are Birthdays so special
I really dont see the zest
The other 364 days of the year are
probably better than the rest
You expect a lot
Your happiness decreases
The best friends of the year
Get busy with other pieces
The ones you left unnoticed
While you were busy with the ace of base
Make your one-day worth it
With unexpected wishes showered with grace
It’s the best time for people
To get back at you
Thinking what she did to me was not right
And feelings like, “she forgot mine too”.
I don’t blame them
for such intentional feelings
They probably don’t deserve even a thought
I’ve given them more than greetings.
